“When we are no longer able to change a situation,
we are challenged to change ourselves.”
-Viktor E. Frankl
Foremost, it is a solid therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, understanding, and openness that fosters growth and change. I understand this may take time to build and I genuinely look forward to building this relationship with each person. I believe in our ability to grow and change when our readiness for such change aligns with our stated goals. I identify as an integrative psychotherapist, creating individualized treatment plans and interventions for each client, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches. Foundationally, however, I think about personality and human behavior in a way that respects and honors all aspects of who we are. “Radical Acceptance” is a term that embodies this idea. I find this idea surprises many, as we have become accustomed to hating, rejecting or criticizing parts of ourselves in our daily lives. We will work collaboratively to discover areas for change and growth - and to build radical acceptance. Ultimately, it is your motivation for change, openness to reveal yourself, and willingness to engage in treatment that will foster an improved quality of life.
